Liferay Notes: windowState, sessionErrors

Liferay First Hand Notes:

windowState 

When working on a portlet and creating a popup, in the there is a windowState variable which should be set. It basically tells the browser what parts of the screen to render on load. So for windowState, there is normal which includes everything, maximized which I'm not sure, and exclusive which shows only that JSP page. 

sessionErrors 

So there are 2 parts to sessionErrors:

First part: You must add something like this to the jsp
<liferay-ui:error key="excel-failure" message="File Extension Not Supported."/>

Second part: Wherever you call need to call the error in your java code, add something like this
SessionErrors.add(aReq, "excel-failure");
